I have heard three different stories, so I asked Daddy what happened today. He said that he backed up to the boat, and Ray Lewis put the trailer on the hitch. Daddy hit the emergency brake, and got out. As they were talking, it starting rolling. Daddy said he was quick-stepping to get in the cab and stop it from rolling. He said he simply kicked his left heel with his right foot and tripped himself. He landed on his side(fractured hip), and he rolled under the boat. Both trailer tires rolled over his lower legs. He's 85.5, and paper thin skin. He was wearing shorts, and the tires and pavement simply shredded his legs. That's what the Monday night surgery was for, to try to get his skin/outer tissue back in place to save it. After his hip surgery Wednesday, they took some kind of cardio metrics, which were elevated. Follow up tests revealed the blockages. They put a stent in the bad one yesterday, which is why we headed home yesterday at 1:15. The other blockages will be addressed next week with stents or angioplasty. They stood him up today by the bed. He said there was no pain with that. They plan a few steps tomorrow. The ortho and plastic dude are arguing over what is more important. He needs PT, but have to be cautious with the tissue......... He's in great spirits, but he's so damn tired. Still in ICU, so he gets checked every 15 minutes. He's tired, very tired. Unfortunately, the original surgery was only partially successful. He's got a few large areas on his left leg where the skin is obviously not going to make it. Hopefully one skin graft will be successful. He's really bummed about not being able to fish for a "few weeks". It will be much more than a few weeks. Tough SOB though. Love you Pops.

You big baby 😆 🤣 😂.

You know I am kidding. I look forward to seeing him tomorrow or Sunday. May grab Logan to go out to eat and take him with me. I have been keeping him updated on Pops.
