How's everyone doin in the ponds so far? I've been fishing for crappie, but can't catch any for all the bluegill and small bass. Any recomendations for baits on big bass right now? Quite a bit of moss on and very clear water.

Fished a small farm pond Friday afternoon. Went with the expectation of not catching a fish, just wanting to get out and soak up some sun. Was using a black super roostertail. Very slow retrieve. Caught 10 nice crappie a couple of small gills and one small bass. 2-1/2 hours of casting. Made my day.

caught several nice bass today on a countdown cd-5 rapala. the bass were popping and chasin the small gills in the shallows of the pond I was fishing. made the switch from worms to that and caught 30 or so in an hour and a half. biggest was around 3lbs.

Caught a couple decent bass at a local lake around here on a jig in about 10-12 ft of water, windy and kinda chilly but still fun

I tried a local lake for crappie this evening, but couldn't keep the bass and bluegill off the tubes to catch a crappie......
