Thumbs up. When guys like this start getting popped statewide, things will change. This guy will go to work and tell all his co-workers that he was caught and fined $2,000. Then at Thanksgiving he will tell all his family, and then tell his neighbors, and his boys he runs around with, and the guys he plays softball with, and then all those people will tell people. Its the only way this problem will stop. Kudos to you, hope more will do the same.

I doubt that even this guy is so stupid that he's going to run around bragging that he got caught poaching, and was arrested, convicted and then whacked with a huge fine.

Word will get around to the general public all right, but he won't be the spreader of it for the most part. It'll be his wife's best friend's husband that will get wind of it during a gossip session and then it will spread like wildfire through the grape vine.

You're right about a few of the people he'll tell though, and those are the people that really matter to the landowner.

He will tell his fellow poaching/trespassing buddies about his nightmare so that they'll know to steer clear of at least this farm. If I was a betting man, I'd bet that this guy has some buddies that have also helped themselves to the "public" hunting. In fact, there's a pretty fair chance that he had a buddy with him on the day he got caught. That buddy simply hid in the woods until everyone left and hoofed it out.

And I'll bet their pockets were full of crawdads. :D

Of course that is with a reload. Maybe they were shooting a double action revolver?? No way will an AR shoot this fast.

Glad a poacher was caught. What county was this in?

Not a big gun/rifle guy but being in the army and using a m4/m16 i know its pretty much an AR15 and on semi can EASILY squeeze off 15 rounds in 10 seconds...

this guy kinda proives the point....im srue the poacher didnt have a 100 rounds drum but you get my point.

He should've been charged with hunting with an illegal rifle as well....unless he had a magazine that held 10 rounds or less.

I'm not sure if they're poaching but I got a couple of arsey holey holes that are trespassing behing the old man's land and blocking off all the routes that the bigs boys take down to me. If they were supposed to be there, it wouldn't bother me but knowing they aren't is a real stick in my crawl. If I wasn't responsible and ethical they could've wound up shot. 2 men walking one in front of the other in unison, not really trying to be quiet, and not wearing their BILLBOARD orange could easily be mistaken for a pretty big buck. I guess that's what they mean by identifying the target. Being Mister Trespassers large ass!!!!!

Turkeytalker you are one weird dude!! What's your fascination with this?? you involved somehow?? Seems to me BOP and his associates stepped up to the plate and made the call, unlike some on here would do. They should be commended, not ridiculed by someone like you.
yeah seriously, you have been on his case from post one, and hes the troll?
