Thought I would share this! Awesome!!! So myself and 5 associates lease a farm in Central Ky ( 500 acres). We heard a lot of semi-automatic fire on opening weekend. We never saw anyone, but thought it was coming from the adjacent farm( sounded really close). So yesterday one of our guys was hunting the back of our farm. he gets in his stand a sees a truck parked on the woods edge. He knows its none of ours because we don't drive our trucks back there. So he calls the landowner, who in turn calls the sheriff. The sheriff and the landowner jump into his cruiser and come to the back of the farm. they run the plate and get this joker name and then the sheriff gets on his PA and calls through woods this guys name. loud as all get out. Fifteen minutes later this dude comes out. The guy says he did not know where he was. ( had to come through 2 gates and past many no tresspassing signs). Turns out the dude had no hunting license either! Long story short. The did not arrest him, but charged him hunting without a license and criminal tresspassing. The landowner is going to proscute him to the fullest extent. The Sheriff said that in fees alone the guys is looking at $2000.0+ not including court costs. Finally got one of those jokers. It should be interresting to see what comes of it. I will update as I get new info. They said the got was hunting with a Ar-15, was thirty years old and looked very clean cut. Ethical hunters-1 poachers -0.

Huh

Turkeytalker- I am not sure what language you are typing, but I am not "trolling" for anything. I did not say the dude was smart or what his motives were, but you are kinda diverging from the point of the thread. Anyway. Im happy that you added your thoughts. Peace in your hood.

No problems here, what county was this in? How could you tell it was semi automatic fire? Does the guy using an AR15 really matter?

Just asking not diverging.

Semi-auto is pretty east to tell. One right after the other. Nothing strange about that. Now fully auto would be another story. I'd sat the AR was just semi, or they would have taken it. Do i take it non of the guys you were hunting with had a semi-auto bop4life???

Well, they were popping of 15 rounds in like 10 seconds. So I am guessing it wasn't a single shot 270. I could care less what people hunt with, just thought I would share some of the details.

I hear those new fangled semi auto muzzle loaders every year during muzzle loading season. I've yet to find one for sale...

I don't think the "semi-auto" was the focus point, just that it was coming from his land and shouldn't have been. Also, I'm guessing AR's are way down the list of popular rifle choices for deer season.

Of course that is with a reload. Maybe they were shooting a double action revolver?? No way will an AR shoot this fast.

Glad a poacher was caught. What county was this in?

Turkeytalker you are one weird dude!! What's your fascination with this?? you involved somehow?? Seems to me BOP and his associates stepped up to the plate and made the call, unlike some on here would do. They should be commended, not ridiculed by someone like you.
