Phantom Jon Boats

    Not saying it isn't tough, but any jon with a .125 hull, longitudinal bracing and a slick bottom would stand up to the same abuse. Actually I change my mind. Going over wet sand isn't crap. They didn't show us anything in that second video.

    You can call it a "jon boat" if you want to, but have you checked out the prices on those things? Most jon boats I've seen don't cost 30 to 40 thousand dollars.:eek:

    And don't a thing more or better than an excel, southern duck boat, gator trax, or prodrive hull. All of which will run you around 12K with a top of the line mud motor.

    Quackr is that RedHeadCali's boat? Wonder what ever happened to that guy???

    answered my own question. Looks like he still post over on the 'fuge just not as much as he used to.

    I have boat envy.

    Could you imagine blasting down the middle of JC about 4:30 am in that thing? The neighborhood would definitely know when you were hunting. :D

    HA! That would be great. I might even have to remember I forgot something back in the truck just to make another pass. It is definitely a sweet sweet ride.
