Dogs have been responding good, every stand I've started with some sort of prey distress for roughly 15 minutes then ended with coyote pup distress and thats when the action starts. Got 4 hunts in since I put the bow down, 6 dogs called only 3 down. Had 2 hang up around 1200 yards just watching, and had one last night hit me in the back....was an experience like no other to say the least. Night opener was ideal with the full moon and snow cover, almost didn't need a light.
Took her every hunt last year as a small pup. Past couple days I just started back after grinding out bow season. She does well, not a decoy dog. But she will sit still and watch. She'll get up and move around which helps. The dog she's pictured with saw her and took the attention off me. We had no cover, sitting in a 1-2 inch tall winter wheat field, so her walking around during pup distress worked in our favor.
10.5 noveske cqb barrel, oss ti 556 suppressor, trijicon accupower 1-4. Makes for a great short package to carry around and call with. Shooting 55 gr vmax, pretty accurate gun out to 300.
I think I’m gonna start on my suppressor purchase process tonight. I’ve got a .300 blk I’d like to turn into something like you have. My shots will be 150yd and closer though.
Great job! I've been out 2 times but haven't been going to my best spots, I want to learn all I can without calling in a bunch at one time. Seeing alot of deer and owls going to hit a few farms this weekend that have coyotes only hang around at night
What a dumb rule. I’m not a big yote hunter this is my shtf rifle. I’ll just hunt with a shotgun if I ever go At night. I don’t have long shots.
Nice looking equipment and nice photos. It was COLD that night with the snow photo but you made it worthwhile. Shheeeiiiitttt, if I was a Coyote and saw that Dog, I would go the other way. Nice.
Nice AR. Is that considered a SBR I’ve got a Ar pistol I’ve been wanting to replace the 7 “barrel with a 10.5 For a little bit of accuracy but keep it compact for a good truck-tractor gun while try to stay away from the SBR Category because I’ve heard it’s a pain in the ass
