I'm looking to buy a good quality deer target and was wondering what folks might recommend, and targets I should avoid. Thanks in advance.

Look for a blemish Morrel Booner buck. They are great targets. Arrow removal is the best of any out there. They are close to 300 regular but the blemished can be found as low as 120 or so if you watch for sales. I got mine for 129 plus 14 shipping. The blemish was very minor.

Hard to beat the Morrels deer targets.

This year I broke down and bought a Glenndell pre-rut. Since I got it I have definitely enjoyed it, easy arrow removal, I am able to move the core to match my shooting, I.E. from a tree stand, quartering away, straight on broadside. I also plan on using it as a decoy later in the season. I do not leave it out in the elements, so I am not sure how they hold up after being in the rain and sun.

    Reinhart hands down.
None of them will last when shooting broadheads.

I got a reinhart last year , the smallish ones that has multiple sides and angled edges. paid like 140 but it has been worth it for sure. Scorpion venom makes it very easy to remove arrows and a small bottle last forever.

I recommend a rag bag. They last forever and cheap.

My son and I bought a cheap one this year. It didn't last 5 months. As a friend of mine once said "buy once , cry once". I'm looking at a morel or a reinhart.

I bought a $79 special and am on the second year with it, but I take it down around late Nov and only shoot the square block and rag bag until about June. My next one will prob be a Glendale. Buddy has good luck with them.

X 2... I have a large Magic Stop. I've shot thousands of arrows into it, and it is still going strong. I have not shot an arrow period on three sides yet. Probably the last target I'll ever need.

I bought the pre rut glendale and ive only had it one season but im not very happy with it the legs are loosly attached to the body and about every third shot rattles the antlers off of it.
