Got the viper on! Ready for the range
Looks great! What color is the stock it almost looks pink in the pics?
I'm going to try and put that finish on my Ruger American.
Haha definitely not pink. Like a tan-sand color. If you scroll up to the other pictures I posted the color might be more true. I took those pics this morning when the sun was coming up. That h-s stock is sweet
I hope shes a shooter. What ammo are you going to try? Does the stock have aluminum pillars?
That's the color of mine a tan color I think they make a spray can that puts that splatter finish out.
Yes full length aluminum block. I got a box of 155Gr Hornady Match for light break in session and to see how it’s grouping. if it likes that I’ll Probably get a box of Superformance and fine tune for hunting. We shall see. It might like the heavier 168gr better.
Finally had a chance to bring the gun out! Did a mild barrel break in and started dialing the scope in. I’m definitely not the best shot and had a couple PD buddies come over that have a lot more rangetime so the peer pressure was heavy. But i’m happy overall with my groups at 100, we noticed as the barrel warmed up shots started tracking to the right. I’m just gonna keep on practicing And get my mechanics down, maybe play around with some different ammo.I was just glad to get it out and make some shots, at the end of the day we set up a steel plate at 280 and I was able to ring it every time. I had four shots within a softball on the stell plate
Yeah, the night before rifle opener would have been a bad deal.
