Cody got his youth hunter a nice Tom this morning. Me and Carley had a lot of gobbling on the roost but no players. We are still after em. Cody and Zane reaped there bird and it got quite heated. Two gobblers nearly ran them over lol. It was his first turkey hunt.
We called one right in carleys lap at about 1:00 and she said there was a briar in her way wth!!! I told her I had two boxes of shells to let em fly lmao
Finally a turkey pic!!!! I’ve been getting on here every few minutes checking to see some. Kids killing stuff is the best. Congrats to them.
Thats great.we had birds around us all morning but with hens.no shots but still a great day of hunting.congrats!
Really cool, your daughter didn’t want to risk a wounded bird because the briar was in the way, yet you being the fine sportsman you are encouraged her to let it fly because you had extra shells? Way too set a good example for a young hunter. Even for you that’s pretty dang slobbish
I’m gonna answer that one better than I did previously. Don’t ever question my ethics. Her shot was very clear enough. She should have taken the bird. It was NOT a questionable shot. I have video to prove it. I figured you’d fell off that high horse by now but I see your still riding the shit out of it. She had a decoy out so she was already a slob hunter in your book. Don’t think Iv forgot your pos guide to turkey hunting lmao. When season is over we will compare freezers lol. You may wanna skip out on that comparison
That boy of yours must love crawling behind them decoys. Seems like every year he puts a hurting on them like that. Its an adrenaline pumping way of doing it for so sure. Thats a hunt that young man will always remember. And tell that girl them turkey loads will bust thru a briar in quick fashion..let the lead fly!
One of those hundreds of pellets would of takin Care of a little briar! Congratulations on a good hunt.
