Here they came. If your getting this rain and have time to hit it after it stops go at it. Within 15 minutes of it stopping I seen 4 deer pass thru behind the house. I plan on hitting it about 2:30 until dark myself, you just never know when a good one will come past following the lady's.

I always try to get out there while its still raining because of 3 things. Your scent going in is washed out, you can get in real quite and the deer seem to move within minutes of the rain stopping..

Seen 15 total today, only one spike buck that ran a doe until she laid down on him. He was still standing guard when it got to dark to see. Got to be a decent one come calling with all these doe's sooner or later.

Been seeing more deer in the rain the last few weeks than I have been on good cold days. Just pop my tree umbrella up, bought it last year and used it for the first time a few weeks ago in the pouring rain and was dry as a bone all day long, best $25 I ever spent on hunting gear.

Saw a bunch of does in all the mess this afternoon, but the boys are no where to be seen. They def are locked down in my neck of the woods---camera action has slowed as well with buck pics.

Im gonna say it again on this post. I have seen more rutting activity this yr then i have seen in years. I used my buck tag early with my bow so im just watching the show and trying to get my old man an kid on a good buck. But every hunt i been on in the last week i have seen chasing. An that is not normal for me. An im hunting the same places i always have. Good luck fellas get out there no matter the weather an get one. I think gun hit perfect this yr.
