Remember that advertisement in the bow hunting magazines in the early to mid 80’s where Myles Keller was standing in front of a barn with all the mounts? When I was a kid, I thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Yeah, i read, a lot about Myles, also, never met him, but i reckon, he was the real deal, always heard, he was, And his articles were good. Ben as i said, could talk, and talk, and if you didnt know who he was, and could back it all up, you would think he was full of it. I will always remember, one night, was setting in lodge, and Several of the big name deer hunters , in the country, were all sitting there, and i dont remember , what they were even talking about, But Ben, says i have killed more deer, than all yall put togather, then he paused, and looked around, nobody had. said a word . And Ben says, thats saying a helluva a lot. And everybody started laughing. But everybody, liked him, and nobody was offended,Because as i said, he could back up stuff, and i think, back then, Alabama season was like 1 deer a day, if im not mistaken. If anyone knows for sure, and im wrong, feel free to correct me, But they had a crazy limit back then.And im sure, he got his share.

i must have watched Ben Lees " hunting the rut " vhs tape more times than i can remember , awesome tape that taught a inexperienced hunter a lot. very sad the way he left us

Do you guys remember the show hunting with Bob and Ben? It was probably the first hunting show I ever saw. I still remember those deer formula commercials, great time to have grown up.

To this day not a single one recovered or even a lead to their whereabouts.

I never been around Pitman, i got a copper slate, of his. I have seen him on videos, he was awesome. I think Ben, made a lot of other people rich, off his name. But him and Pitman both, were Awesome.
