Ever watch an old movie, and tear up, or burst out laughing from memories? Just watched True Grit, and was flooded with memories. I saw this at the drive in with momma, daddy, and my sisters when it came out. Had several tears, and several laughs triggered by those memories.

Hadn't watched that in 30 years but did a few months ago with my kids. Gotta love those cheesy 80s movies.

My dad was exactly like the Duke in True Grit. A big often drunken rough hombre but with a good heart deep down. He was no lawman but broke several in his time. Raised rough. That movie really brings back the memories and I often tear up during it.

Phoebe Cates was not cheesy. She was the 80's version of Jennifer Anniston

I watch old movies and series all the time. On season 8 of Magnum PI right now. The original, not the new crap. I still have a working VCR in my guest room. LOL!

It’s not an old movie per say, circa 1997. But we watched Rosewood with Ving Rames and Jon Voight last night . It was down right infuriating and heartbreaking at times. Made even worse at the end to find out it was based on true events. Not sure how I’d ever missed that movie.

    - Slap Shot- Paul Newman
    - 100 rifles- 29 yr old Raquel Welch. The water tank scene is not too bad. :)
