Just trying to keep something goin here, Deer season out, folks usually get pretty scarce on here, lot go over to the turkey forum. As for me, i try to turkey hunt a little, fish a lot, make fishing lights for bobbers and read a little, usually something online, or watch something on YouTube i have always had a interest in older sniper guns, and the snipers mission, look at old deer and gun pics, that about sums up my life, Whats every one else do in the off season or after turkey season

There is a season going in KY 365 days a year. I hunt and or fish 3 days a week every week at minimum. I racked up almost 70 groundhogs last spring ;) it was a blast. Coyotes, crow, squirrel, all of it.

I do enjoy competitive shooting and fun shooting. Used to like 3 gun, IDPA, trap/skeet. Honestly though I can’t afford to practice enough to stay proficient. Anymore I just fine tune my hunting set ups, bang steel with buddies, plink long range rimfire and fish. I do a lot of scouting.

Can’t wait for turkey and morel season!!!

In the nightmares of turkeys
Let's see, I work a more than full time job and practice turkey calling. I tend a farm and care for 28 damcows and trap some while doing that. I scout for turkeys and manipulate turkey habitat 365. I waterfowl hunt when I can find birds or everything is frozen except the river. Did I say practice turkey calling? Mention scouting for turkey season? I fish some, not as much as I did because in the spring I'm looking for TUYKEYS. Basically, if I'm breathing, I'm scouting for turkeys, turkey calling, or thinking about and talking about TURKEYS!

I used everything from .22, 17HM2, 350l, 9mm, shotgun to bow and .270. Mostly 17, 204 and .223 though. It helps our farm, cows, other farmers and is fun. We don’t take it serious. No lead sleds here.

(Finally got level for that 275yd g-piggy)

Dang Shelby thats putting down some tracks, maybe you were to tired to hold your gun still...
Nothing gets my heart going like those dang birds. First shot one pitched off into my lap at about 7 yards flat missed no excuse. Second one he had me twisted all up. As a right handed shooter those right side approaching birds give me issues.
