Just did a cam check on my clover plot, 3 new bucks showed up 2 days ago found 2 fresh scrapes and lots of pic of chasing.
Nothing I would shoot but in a few yrs they should be nice, one is going down hill he was alot better last yr.

I’ve had really good luck both killing, seeing and cam pics OCT 30 - Nov 3. Seems like there will always be new, bigger bucks showing up around those days with lots of daylight movement. Largely weather dependent though. Anytime from Halloween thru Thanksgiving gets me excited.

If I could only chose 7 days it would undoubtedly be the first 7 days of November. Always good bucks sightings and great camera movement. Killed a lot of deer in that time period as well. Also strangely enough I’ve killed 4 or 5 bucks now in October when most people complain of a “lull” all of them were killed right after a cold front and killed near food sources that are really close to bedding. I believe for the most part bucks tend to bed close to there food sources in oct and so therefore wind and entry points are the 2 most critical parts of killing them.

November 12th has been a wild day for me the last 3 years in a row. Literally all hell brakes loose on that day. Just last year I saw 12 bucks in one sit, with 3 being shooters. One of which I hit but never found. November 5th through the 15th is the best that it gets in my opinion.

From what I've read, on average, that is the best three days period.

I killed one buck on 11/7 in Iowa, on the wall, all the rest were Oct-3 bucks, Dec-6 bucks. November was tricky because I could have an explosion of chasing and fighting which makes it harder to get good opportunities with bow and the next day nothing, total lock down.
