I'm not angry at the deer, just the things that have kept me from hunting much this year. Sunday was my first hunt. I will be focused...like a lazer on trying to enjoy some time away from the hassles. And if I get a shot, I dont see there being an issue with distraction. My eyes maybe, but not that lazer thing in my head.

Do you still make your own bows and cut your own flint, too?

In the woods.....Marlin 336 .35 Rem. Best brush gun I know. Short, compact, easy to point and line up for quicker shot.

On the field edges.....Remington 700 in 7 mm WSM. Flat, shooting, long distance rifle.

Remington 700 CDL .300 rem ultra mag. I've never had a deer take more than 2 steps after being hit. But GOODNIGHT its expensive to shoot.

Aint smart enough to work a safty yet? Its really easy push it forward and it will shoot! Pull it back and it wont shoot. Find a buddy thats just like you and together you might be able to figure out how to put the bullets in.

Just don't shoot until he's in bow range. Honestly, If I hunted in the woods only, a bow would do just about anything a rifle will do for me, as far as yardage is concerned. I get very little time to bow hunt, so when gun season comes, I lock the doors and go hunting for a few days. Doesn't everybody want to be a gunsmith?:(

Hey I understand that totally and I don't condemn anybody for wanting to gun hunt. Whatever it takes to get out in the woods.
