Took the grandson again this afternoon. We saw the one he was after that he nick named Timber,but he was about 65 yds. away. He turned down a shot at a fair 10 pointer....said he was waiting on Timber.. We need rain and it has been to hot.

buddy, I dont know where to start..🤣 I scouted all last week up in the upper part of the lake where most of those deer were killed... Well my boat motor dropped a ring and seized up.So I was stuck putting across the lake with a trolling motor.. Well it wasnt a bad spot ive killed deer there before but believe it or not people pulled in and tied up right next to me and walked all over me all morning. I got on the hill before 6am, about daylight they started rolling in. Pretty sure it was all out of town guys who didnt know where to hunt but it blew my spot up. Im not mad at them, its public after
all.. Hunted for 7 hours and didnt see a thing..

Brother I’m sorry about the boat and you’re getting ran over. You’re right, it’s public and not much you can do about it. Definitely some good bucks killed.

Im trying real hard to take the high road..🤣 I knew this spot and knew that if I got in well before daylight deer would be there. They were, I could hear them in the dark around me.. When the boats started rolling in the scattered. I could hear them bolt..
Im really not complaining, its almost comical. If you guys could have seen the looks on my face you'd have died of laughter..😄
