. Swatted a few flys and mosquitos and even seen a snake.

Had to get hubby to evict a 6'ish rat snake from our camper/deer camp a bit ago..... it was stretched out right across the kitchen counter!

I’m in my woods stand for the first time. Got in the stand at 1 pm fingers crossed to just see a good one.

Threw out corn for my mom at her stand. I broke a sweat. This is not highly motivating. I’m going to check the wind and see if a spot just speaks to me but I’m not feeling it.

I have zero confidence with this heat but I know a decent one is tending scrapes in here so I hated not to try it.

Went to put out some corn and check a few cards in cameras on new scrapes. Small 8 and a spike. Windy and warm in my area. Just gonna watch football and some nascar.

Im in. Biggest fella was here last evening 30 minutes before dark. Same spot i was yesterday morning and seen the 8 does and littles. Hope one of the does smell good to him!

Me and Matthew are out this afternoon!! We’re having a struggling season so far… I like to put 4 or 5 in the freezer every year and so far we’re at 0….. Hoping for a buck, but a doe will get it if she comes in!!!

Finished all of our chores for the day and decided to set a stand overlooking the wheat field. Got in about 3:30 and not a peep so far. I have zero shooters, honestly not a named deer on the place, that I'm aware of. Just sitting here enjoying the evening after a long day of oil changes and tire rotations.

I’m set up in Pulaski. Had a nice hot spot through October on the other end of this farm but after the acorns stopped falling it dried up. Moved to the other end of the farm. Lotta buck sign so hoping for the best. On a bright note, the extended shows actual fall weather for the gun opener and most of the week.

Wind is light but all over the place.

Put out a blind for dad near my neighbors big oak. Plenty of sign there, neighbor said have at it, ill save it for dad or try to get the neighbor (currently OOS) to come hunt.

Saw some rubs finally.

Saw 4 skunks. 3 Toms across fence.

No action till right at dark. Herd a puny grunt. Looked like a youngin chasing a doe. They stopped at 35 yards. I couldn’t make out which was which to shoot and off they went.

Had fun. Found a comfy rock with a tree that leaned perfect for a backrest, just off a heavy trail with acorns. I’ll ground hunt there again.

Had a pretty good 8 point at 15 yards. Not hardly a shooter but improvement.

Had to reduce the size so much you cannot see it very well
