Gotta say...he's a pretty joker....for a snake.
I have killed several big rattlers in my time.one of the bigger ones I cleaned and deep fried.i have to say it was really good.nice white meat.
That will make you mess your pants
There’s advantages/disadvantages to living in different regions of ky but i truly enjoy the lack of poisonous snakes in nky.
Any of you ever cure a snake hide for display? I've still got a frozen 4 footer in the freezer from 2012. I need to skin it and and cure it for display in the trophy room....
Ain’t nothing like it up here mister! Almost like heaven.
you just think there aren't any. lol.
Welp....in my 40 years of stumbling around the great out of doors in these parts, I ain’t never seen one yet mister.
But, they are there!!! Beware, lol. The snake guy with KDFWR said the only county in Ky without a confirmed copperhead sighting in Ky was Washington county.
I fully understand that copperheads are statewide and I look for them intently.....still haven’t found one and don’t know of too many reported cases.
(Definitely knocking on wood)
Just be careful where you sit in the woods mister. lol. To be honest, I never give them a second thought around here. I've got to remind myself repeatedly when I go to elk country.....
I talked to him once after a presentation at the Salato center and asked him about this. While he did say the same as you, he also said he goes years between poisonous snake sightings anywhere in the bluegrass region. I'm sure they are somewhere, but I don't think twice about it really. I look where I'm going as I walk and such, but don't expect to find one ever.
I’d rather have the snake than the damn squirrels.
Not me. I doubt if i would do much walking around in those woods. Certainly not without my AR 15.
I know. I was just messing with Ed.
