A five-star prospect is headed to Western Kentucky, as Rick Stansbury added an elite talent to his 2017 class.

The No. 11 player in the country -- Mitchell Robinson -- committed to Rick Stansbury, Western Kentucky on Wednesday.

"It's a group of people that I trust," Robinson told Scout shortly after committing.

Robinson took an unofficial visit to WKU's campus on Wednesday.

I thought Stansbury did the best coaching job in the SEC during his MS ST tenure. This is no surprise, WKU will be more than relevant, they'll be contenders with him there if he doesn't use it as a stepping stone.

Yes, he did. I know it's only a "commit", but its nice to see them getting five star looks again. Last 5 star commit I remember who backed off was Patrick Ewing. He wasn't a welcomed sight when he and Georgetown played in Diddle Arena in the old Wendy's Classic. LOL

Nice ... I like to see a KY guy succeed, especially at a KY school (UL excepted).

Not too surprising since they hired his godfather... Nothing remotely fishy about that is there?
