The deer still come through, they just do it at night. We saw less than 25% of the deer we normally see, at what used to be my best spot
That will recover much slower than it deteriorated

You win then lolThe deer still come through, they just do it at night.
Hope so. I'm pretty sure if they'll keep the dogs at home, the deer will move through there during daylight again. You win then lol
maybe good spotlightThe deer still come through, they just do it at night.
It’s not illegal to SAY you are running snares. Is it legal to run snares outside of trapping season?
I have to agree.Find new place to hunt.
If they’re really the cause of your deer issues then you will have to kill the dogs. If you get caught or neighbor finds out you will have holy hell to pay. Unfortunately you already advertise on this site so if the dogs disappear you’ll be first suspect. Also, If the dogs just disappear the neighbor will just go get new ones. You’re completely screwed. Talking to neighbor won’t do any good. You’re in Kentucky not New York. Dogs run free. Find a new spot. Thousands and thousands of acres in Kentucky.
This is a true statement. Maybe the best thing to do is take a lien out against their property for the cost damages suffered. If they refuse to curtail their dogs' encroachment upon your property; maybe it will be time to do something legal. Might report this to the Sheriff or hire a Lawyer. You have the right to enjoy your property without any disruptions after all.
Good luck!! people suck (I know I'm one) but I don't let my dogs run amuck anytime especially deer season - my neighborsWe saw less than 25% of the deer we normally see, at what used to be my best spot. People that bought the place next door now have two dogs that run loose. They got a heeler and some kind of mixed breed in early Summer. I get pics of them every single day, on both cams in the little woods that borders them. It's a natural funnel/bottle neck. My top 3 bucks have only been on camera in that woods this year, and since mid September, not a single daylight pic of any of them. For that matter, I've only had one daylight pic of any deer in the last 3 weeks. They come in an hour or so after dark, and leave well before daylight. Damn dogs. What is the best way to approach them about their dogs? They deer hunt on their 65 acres, so I can't imagine they've not experienced reduced sightings as well. I'm a dog lover, so no way I'm going to hurt their dogs. But I'm also not going to put up with them messing up my deer hunting again next year.
I do not condone killing dogs - I would HATE to have to do that - if a dog was in my barn or yard killin my chickens or livestock then YES a bullet ..... it is ky and people own dogs (myself included) but common sensed people don't let nuisance dogs run free .....I have to agree.
If somebody killed my dog ... because he was being a dog ... it would be time for them to move somewhere I can't find them.
you shouldn't have to find a new spot - you should be able to hunt YOUR property - dogs shouldn't run free during season NOT on other people's property - I love my dog and she never runs free during season....Find new place to hunt.

If that's where the goalposts are, so be it. Wouldn't argue anything under such conditions.I do not condone killing dogs - I would HATE to have to do that - if a dog was in my barn or yard killin my chickens or livestock then YES a bullet ..... it is ky and people own dogs (myself included) but common sensed people don't let nuisance dogs run free .....
I won't kill a dog unless it poses a threat or inflicts harm. I love dogs.If that's where the goalposts are, so be it. Wouldn't argue anything under such conditions.
I completely sympathize with the OP (believe it or not). Killing their pets is not the answer though.
Wasn't blessed with grandkids. My pup's probably a better companion anyway. My opinion is derived from that position only. If someone (anyone) kills my dog I'm going to take it very personal.
