I know the season is about to close, but I was wondering if there are any good places to hunt duck publicly. I live in Lexington and have land in grant county. Anywhere within an hour of Lexington I would be willing to try.

Also any other information on the sport in general would be nice

There are pockets of ducks around Lexington. You will need to drive more than an hour to find major concentrations of birds.

Alright well what if I drive more than an hour. What're the recommendations then?

I hunt the Ohio River from Maysville to Warsaw. With a little scouting you should be able to find a workable spot in one of the many feeder creeks.
