Kentucky 14pt 2012.jpg I took this 14 pt Kentucky brute this morning at 10:45 stinking to high heaven. I will post a better pic when my photographer can get some shots. 40 yds and stopped in his tracks with the Ruger 7mmMag. My second big buck in a week, liked 30 minutes to exact time that I killed the Tennessee buck last Tuesday. Having an awesome year!

You going on guided trips or just lucky? Or are these high fence kills?

Both came from private farms. One hasn't been hunted in years and I was lucky enough to obtain permission and killed the buck on the first hunt. Today's deer came off a farm owned by my girlfriend's family, and opening morning 15 ppl were hunting there including myself (That's about to end, too many on 200 acres). I was all alone on the farm since everyone else was working today. I am a firefighter so I can hunt weekdays while most can't. Plus I have 30 plus years of deer hunting experience and am no stranger to big deer, I have others on the wall. Several of my deer are Ft Knox kills. I can't afford to hunt those "high fence" places you're referring to.
