Well here it is... $600 bucks. Bore and breach look clean. After doing a little research I guess I might’ve paid too much but hindsight is 2020 and it is what it is. I’ve always love the looks of these guns and It pretty much made my mind up that’s what I wanted going in

looks good see yours is 45 cal. mine is 50 cal. camo looks good guess im a sucker for pretty wood since ive collected Belgium brownings for yrs hope you get a goodun with it. if you put you a good scope on it your right where im at price wise best advice i can pass on is when sighting in clean after no m0re than 3 shots cause after that the bullets' start to wander a little bit not off the paper but just not real consistence, Best of luck !!!

I like a clean bore zero on any black powder.

I had one for sale a while back. Probably 12 yrs old or so. Never shot. Put a scope on it today, working up a load tomorrow. Then back in the safe it will go.

That's my kinda speed right there. D@mn fine looking rifle.

As far as off the shelf,.......I've had several,...they don't make them any more but my Thompson White Mt. Carbine is it for me. It was my first one and it's a tack driving carbine.

Dang! I guess you’ve read through this thread and seen that I ended up purchasing a used one. What were you asking for yours? and have any pics? I’m probably overthinking it but hopefully I can spend a little time finding right sabot and power load to make this 209-45 shoot decent. I started another thread about the twist rate on this encore looking for advice. For some reason there was alot of complaints about a 1:20 twist from what I’ve read on Different Internet forums

Congrats on the new toy. If you use BH 209, clean just like a center fire rifle. You can shoot 25 times and accuracy won't be affected. If you use the other brands of black powder substitute (they're all water soluable), all you need is water to clean the barrel and breech plug. No "magic" home made concoction is needed or will clean like water. Oil the barrel inside and out when its going in the safe. Keep anti-seize on the breech plug threads. I leave my breech plug out after the season is over. Had a buddy that didn't clean his breech plug after season. Went to use it the next year, plug was stuck. He used 777 pellets. I took the stock and scope off, submerged the action in water overnight (poured a little down the barrel also). Next morning plug unscrewed as normal. Back in business.
