Nothing like a patch mushrooms, bottle of wine, and a fire extinguisher for a Friday night!
What kinda app do you use? I feel kinda dumb that I never thought to try an app with technology the way it is these days.
Picture mushroom app. I think someone on here suggested it a couple of months ago.
I'm going to check them again, see if their aliases is woody or big boner mushroom.
You need a different app. They are definitely edible and considered choice by most (I'm not one of those as I don't really like them)They can cause stomach issues in some but so can many shrooms including morels, chickens, and hens.
Don't think I'll shop around until I find an app that tells me these aren't toxic. Thanks though.
If your app says ringless honeys are toxic it's flat out wrong and I wouldn't trust it for anything. 30 seconds on Google will show you that. Just saying.
I wouldn't trust any phone app. I know many many many people that eat them.
I found a few of these earlier, I think a little past the eating window though.
Apps can be a great starting point to id shrooms but there's no way in hell I would eat a mushroom I wasn't familiar with based solely on what an app says. The apps where they ID them from a picture are the worst. Just out of curiousity I downloaded and tried one of those out and it was wrong way more then not. It was "90%" sure that a jack-o-lantern was a golden chanterelle. That's not a mistake you want to make.
There's a rumored type of wood that gets so hard a cat can't scratch it.
