What mushroom do I have here?
Most likely ringless honey fungus, Armillaria tabescens. But it could also be Armillaria mellea if it has a ring on the stalk. I tried eating them years ago but they didn't agree with me.
Honey mushrooms. I have never had a problem eating them. Usually just eat the caps.
You might like them but I'm not a fan.
When you sautés them make sure there is plenty of space between them.
Im not familiar with them.
do they always grow in clusters?
The app I now use says "ringless honey". I found some this week. The app also says toxic......
There was a YUGE flush of them here in September of 2019, I couldn't stand the smell of em in the woods for 2 weeks.
I can't remember if I've seen those before
I just sampled a small bite the first time I tried em years ago, and I saw light trails when I turned my head for several hours. The constant erections over the next few weeks was worse, my wife wouldn't let me go anywhere in public during that time.
Shaaaaame, fEr shaaaame, fEr shame, Barney...
Wife wants me to try one tomorrow.
Just a nibble, and seek medical attention if.. nevermind
