Mtn lion release in Southern Utah

    I don’t think I would’ve released it. But that’s why I don’t trap.
Guys apparently have more courage then me I guess. I’d be the one saying I’ll hold the camera you guys go be brave. I’ll be way over here filming.

That was pretty cool. The one guy started to help but got the hell out of there

Was the catch pole still looped around the cat's neck? I had the sound down as I was watching so I may have missed something.

I don't know what I would have done differently, but I can't imagine that being a good situation, the cat running off with the catch pole around its neck. Not getting eaten was a win......releasing the cat with the pole on it's neck......o_O

I wonder why they trapped the cat in the first place. Turning that sob loose is dangerous.. They did not sedate it so what was the purpose of catching it.

The catch pole was loose but still around the neck. That rope catches a crevice in the rocks it's stuck again.

Probably caught in a set intended for a bobcat. Not unusual in lion country.

The guy probably figured "I can buy another catch pole. Catch poles are cheap. My arm is expensive." :)

I’d be down for that. You can choke a cat real easy. Why he didn’t really pull it up tight.
