    I don't ever come to this thread,dmullins I didn't even know that you did taxidermy work,looks like you do good work man,nice.

    You got the eye and the touch for sure,do you ever put septums in them with red thread to look like vanes when doing comp mounts?it wouldn't really be nessasary on regular mounts,buddy of mine makes his own septums and only does that on show mounts....you do some really nice work man.

    I don't compete. Don't have the time. I work 50 hours a week at another job. This helps pay for two kids through college that are there at the same time. As I said in the tine repair thread in the deer forum, if you paid most to do a mount worthy of a best in world piece, you probably couldn't afford it. I have a lot of respect for the ones who do compete. It makes them better taxidermists for sure. When Obama shuts the coal business down totally, I guess I will have time to try and compete..lol.

    I tan all my deer, Bobcats, coyotes, and small stuff myself. Elk, bear, and such get sent out to be done.
