Sure hope this cold front gets them moving this weekend. Anyone seeing much movement?

Yep, I'm in Christian/Trigg and yesterday morning there was a lot of chasing by young bucks, nothing this morning, but when the sun came out there was chasing again. Definitely a second rut.

    Archery is my 4th love

I was out Wed afternoon in Christian County, seen deer from around 2:30 till 4:00 and that was it, does and one decent buck, I was bow hunting.

Just got in from my park line spot. They started at 3 pm and I ran 3 off out of the food plot when it was time to leave. Granted I may have counted the same one more than once because they came and went all afternoon but the total was 16 and nothing but a spike that came in right at dark with any antlers. No chasing in my neck of the woods, a few runs at the gals but nothing serious. After seeing 3 bucks together a couple days ago and they were for the most part getting along I would guess rut has came and gone here.

I hunted today from about 830 to 130 and saw two doe and one little four point. Tomorrow is my last day with the smoke pole so I'm planning an all day sit.

Anyone seeing anything yet today? I replenished my corn pile after being out for a few days around 12:30 and now I'm in the stand. Any chance they come to it before night???

I had a good morning... actually saw some pretty intense chasing for this go around. In total I saw 3 bucks & 5 does. Yet ... still out of the bucks this morning nothing I wanted to drop the hammer on.

This afternoon .... I'm settled in a stand on a flat midway of a bluff. Steep ridge to my left .. the flat.. drops about 60 ft down to the river. I guess an escarpment line of sorts... lol. Always has been a travel route to ag fields about 100 yds behind me. I've already seen 7 slick heads since I got in the stand about 1pm. It's one of those stands you just got to have the right wind or your screwed.

Movement has been good... just a nice day to be hunting.

Taking my son out this upcoming weekend for the last youth hunt on Knox, I'm afraid this weather is going to make it a challenge. 70 degrees is crazy this time a year!
