It’s always bad in winter. They come down and get salt off the road. Hell most strip jobs have free ranging cattle for the most part

I saw those horses while I was elk hunting eastern Ky. They didn’t look real healthy. Make some good seat covers for a low rider.

They are healthy all summer. Winter hits and they bottom out if it gets any little bit bad.

I knew a fellar from Louisiana that said they ate them in the bayou. I’m sure a lot of things get ate there we don’t experience much here. I can barely understand him. I’m pretty sure he said horse at least 🤣

Hard to imagine "wild cattle" among deer hunters. If they're sure enough feral, I'd give em hell over a sawbriar fed whitetail

kind of what I was thinking.. a lot of dollars running around. I’d think somebody would catch all these feral horses and getting cleaned up and make some easy cash on them.

Most of the horses are “claimed”. This has been tried and it never ends well.
