Where you see deer in the mornings they be bedding close bye...if you know where the nasty nasty thickets are that we a good place to start...try hunt/glassing until you learn there patterns and find there bedroom.

Best time to scout in my opinion is after season but before spring. You can see well established trails and any bedding easily.

Evenings in early season and mornings during the rut, the beds they are useing now will most likely be different than what they will use during the rut, summer beds will usually be in places that are not real thick cause they don’t want to damage their velvet while they are growing

Since a good portion of the deer I have killed, including several good bucks have fallen between 9 and 2 I seldom hunt early mornings anymore

I much prefer hunting in the mornings but don't do it much until mid/late October.

Odds of killing a BC buck are much higher in the afternoon. It's been awhile since I saw their statistics, but I want to say it was in the 70% range for afternoon.
In the rut you can of course kill them anytime, outside the rut, you hardly ever see mature bucks in the morning. They almost always are bedded before it gets light.

I prefer evenings until muzzle season then I mainly hunt mornings. From November 1st until gun season I'll try to sit any and every time I can or all day if I'm up to it.

I prefer killing one in the morning because it’s easier to deal with. I prefer hunting in the evening though because I seem to bust fewer deer. It depends on the area you hunt too. The rut doesn’t seem to matter though. Just hunt. I’ve killed probably more mature bucks in the evening but may be due to hunting more then.

I have seen bucks mornings and evenings both.I only hunt gun seasons
anymore and you can see them about any time of the day.
During the rut I hunt all day, dawn till dusk. Im retired and have the time
to spend looking for a good one.If my memory still works ,heres the times
for the last four bucks I have killed. They were taken between 730-8am,10-1030am,
    4pm-430pm and 5-530pm.
If had my choice, it would be mid morning.

I have 4 deer mounts. One was killed at 8:30 am, One at 9:00 am, One at 10:00 am, and the other at 2:30pm. Honestly haven't seen a mature buck in the evening that I can remember.
