They are up and you can find them around apple orchards and among some walnut trees that are close to creeks with soft banks..Just ate some the other day a friend brought by and gave me..

Picked another 37 out of patches that I picked from on Sunday. Nice yellows and greys.

Found 22 nice greys/yellows along a creek today. Mainly near sycamore trees.

Have any cows on it?Look where they get into the woods and thump the top to place the spore back into the ground(they drop thru the hollow shaft) for more to come up and you will always have a good supply when rain falls and the sun pops out for afew hours they come up!My next to oldest brother used to have spots he would hit and furnish the old folks with plenty of nice sized like 8 to 10 inch tall by the 5 gallon buckets of them..He would take 4-5 gallon buckets out and fill them in no time..Another good 1 is the 1 they call the dust devil and you have to get it while its hard and white, sliced and cooked in butter and garlic salt they delicious!

Anybody finding any around Lewis and Mason Counties? Went to 2 different spots yesterday and still nothing. Poplars are just now showing.

Picked another 50 greys today from the patches I picked Sunday and Tuesday. These rains that have been coming every couple of days are perfect for the greys. Left some that were an inch or smaller. Also found 20 of the verpas conica which is a false morel. They are hollow but are not the half frees. Have anyone here eaten these?
