I would keep looking too if i just shot a 200" deer. Id have every dog in the county out there looking for it and listening to yotes at night to boot haha

I find it quite disgusting he is all smiles knowing he just absolutely wasted a trophy deer. But yeah...he got some nice bone out of it.

I'm sure it's just me. No way in hell would I pose with a deer that I wasted... sure as hell not with a shit-eating grin on my face.

    Wait for November for what?
My response would be the same if he was posing with a doe that he lost, no difference to me.

In what scenario is it okay to smile in your book? Are you saying that he should not have taken a picture with the deer he killed after he recovered it, even if it was several days later? I’m sure he would have preferred to recover it immediately.

Don’t nobody know the story yet. Don’t jump to conclusions which is normal here. Everybody jealous. Hell im not. Congrats to the hunter. If he shot it and found it next day who cares. It’s his. Hellava buck.

It happens. Least he found it. I don’t really care what you do with your animal. Long as you follow the limits.

As a hunter who lost the biggest buck he ever shot at, I understand the sick feeling.... I can only imagine the joy, and relief, of finding a big buck after a bad shot. I'd be smiling too. Sucks to lose the meat, sucks worse to not find the deer at all.
