A snook in the open ocean?
It was in the gulf. I hooked 3 real fast when we got there, but we had to throw them back. We picked up and moved after that. The trip was originally supposed to go out to the middle grounds but due to weather we got stopped short which is why it was a cheaper rate per person. Snook are super fun to catch
Are you hooked on Salt-water now? No pun intended haha! I'm doing a half day trip south of Tampa on Friday. Hoping to get into some permit or some Jack crevalle etc.
That wahoo is fabulous grilled. In Hawaii they call it grilled Ono.
It’s fun, not anywhere close to my first trip. It’s super easy too. Just buy the waypoints online, idle over and drop down. Like I said we got bit every single drop within 30 seconds of dropping down, most drops within 5 seconds. I really prefer inshore fishing though. Big redfish are my weakness
I gotcha on the cost, but making memories Man. Beginning of the month, I took my Youngest on a Lake Michigan Charter. It was expensive, but we had fun and I wanted him to catch some big fish he has never caught before. He is my Fisherman, so I was happy to enjoy it with him!
Did you hook up while taking a pic? That rod looks like its screaming lol.
ha ha, we were using Dipsys and downriggers. The fish were 75 - 100 feet down.
