honestly this bull even though he was a state record would have been real tough for me to “hunt” Once again I don’t know specifics so I’m not downing the guy without knowing but if the people I know that had encounters with him mean anything, we’ll just say this current bull was well “acquainted” with people being around.

I have personally been on 3 elk hunts. 2 of which for myself, 1 for a family member. All 3 of which were really good hunts. The cow hunt with a rifle was a much harder hunt and I felt accomplished to get one. The bull hunt was hard as well. bulls In the area just not really cooperating. Had 4 sightings with 3 opportunities on bulls I passed before I took mine. I had a wonderful experience and felt like I actually hunted so I don’t believe that what we are talking about here is the norm.

I don't think that is what happened with this bull. They hunted that bull for three years...........

Like I said. I could be wrong but my info is from someone who would know. And this bull did not get hunted last year because nobody ponied up. Well anyone that killed it anyway

That bull has been hunted for three years. Maybe not that property, but he’s been hunted for the last three years. I’m 100% positive

I'd be curious as to if anyone has his sheds from the past several years ? I'm not really into elk hunting in KY but he's a brute for sure. Lotta bone there.

That is a good question. It would be nice to see how much bigger he got.

No it wouldn’t. You must’ve forgotten about the feller with the handgun and orange vest. What’s his name

Are those the same thing as a red stag? I remember lbl used to have fallow deer. And there was a small population of sika’s just outside the gene Snyder near bull town road in Louisville but I haven’t seen any in the last several years.

The issue before last of Kentucky Afield magazine had a throwback article from the 50s I think. Showing were Bernhiem Forest had a hunt and they'd killed abunch of red stags. I'll see if I can find that book
