I've always had good luck seeing deer midday. Killed a few nice bucks midday, too. The little lady and I saw a really good buck about 10:45 this weekend. I couldn't get on him quick enough for the shot. Most of the bucks I've seen midday come in between 10 am and 1 pm.

I've never had a spot to hunt that yields itself to midday activity. I've hunted all day a few times, with no sightings after mid morning..

Same thing here. I've always seen more and bagged Deer during my morning hunts, but have seen & bagged several during late afternoon/evening hunts, in past years. This year however, I have hunted all three times and thus far have seen NO Deer. Again VERY STRANGE.

Late season, I like to go in about 10-11 and hunt the rest of the day. Always seems like I see a lot around 1. All woods where I hunt.

Someone posted on here bucks refresh their rublines in mornings, I have seen a lot of deer in the morning early season and before and during rifle it was always in the evening. But then again ive always read, and heard midday is the best time to kill a mature buck.

I have a book somewhere with stories on some of the all time great bucks. I'll bet 70% were killed 11-2.

This time of the year if you're not hunting from 10 til 2 your missing the best action of the day, I sit all day but if I can't I'll stay till at least 2 your better bucks cruise in the middle of the day from my experience, I'm not just preaching something I've read I have witnessed it for years.

2nd biggest I killed was at 1:30. Another good one at 11:30. I only hunt mid day during rut .

If I were given time choices of dawn-10:00, 10:00-3:00 and 3:00 to dark and I could only choose 1 of these to hunt during the rut it would be 10:00-3:00 for me. All 7 of my mature bucks except 1 have been killed during that time slot. The 1 exception was killed @ 9:30. This year's 9 was killed @ 1:30.

Very little mid day activity where I am this year. Odd though. Last several have been good from 10-1
