I’d be a lot more impressed with a national sales tax and do away with the theft which is income tax. Better to tax 100% of the population than 57% of households contributing nothing. With a flat tax on income those same mooches will continue to mooch. I’ve posted this before but when we all have skin in the game from the Fortune 500 CEO to the crack ho’ then suddenly everybody is concerned over $70 billion going to fund gender studies in Pakistan. Suddenly we are all fiscal conservatives. Not to mention enforcement and collection would be a piece of cake as businesses are already setup to collect and deposit tax receipts so we wouldn’t need a bloated IRS bureaucracy. Makes way too much sense.

I don’t see anything major ever happening again without a good old fashioned revolution. Too much gridlock and we lost the balls and stomach for what needs to be done a long time ago.
