Travis,it is now a red VAN and yes it was down by the river. Give em three it is by invitation only......don't wait by the mailbox. Dooming ain't for everybody. Chasing bycicles, paying off the little debbie truck driver even during the off season. Everybody wants some. This year everybody is going to get some.......

...........mallards.Probably before the week is over. No need to say anything or post up pics. Half the seasons in America will be open in the next two weeks and we in Ky will still be sitting on ready......stupid.

You should have known a fish from Alaska would have been a reject to end up in KY.

I am some better today. Last night I was hallucinating and thinking about going and closing the gates and starting the pumps myself. Then I realized I am not a corn clubber......they must put something in the ice when you get west of Paducah.

I must be too new to the game, but why do you guys hate corn clubbers so much? and wheres the thread explaining doomers? lmao, I kinda understand the doomer thing, Im assuming the corn clubber moniker suits anyone within 10 miles of a refuge hunting private cropground with gauranteed water?

I would probably not hate corn clubbers as much if they would relinquish a few days to hunt like this weekend. While out with the kids this evening we ran up on 100 teal a handfull of woodies, mallards and greys. There are always here this time of year and we let em go on south for others to shoot. I realize you can hunt in Indiana but the old go-devil aint too suited for long runs on the Ohio. The clubbers think I am jealous, but I have places to hunt and kill ducks,I would just love to shoot them for a weekend in Late Oct. or early Nov. They won't give up two days from the Mon opener in Dec.,so there it is....the whole explanation.

I am fairly new to this forum and never once did I realize there was such a public demand for an early season in late Oct/early Nov. So here is my question blackmallard, do these "clubbers" you speak of set the season dates? With such an outcry for early hunting, how can one county out of the whole state keep it from happening?

After laughing at Mr. METHANE, I will simply say that the powers to be were lobbied at the town hall meetings and asked for an early weekend. This was enough for the state to send out a poll, but it was errant in that it was only to those that filled out HIP harvest cards. Being that I get my license at Uncle Lee's or Wal-Mart I have not seen a HIP card in years. So they based this years no change methodology on a piss poor sample of mostly folks that wanted to keep things as they are. There is an explanation on the state website. All we asked for was this weekend like Indiana's to hunt some calendar ducks.Nothing more.

Risky,
I don't hate corn Clubbers. As a matter a fact, if I lived over there I would be up in da club with em. As far as the DOOM CREW thing goes.
THE FIRST RULE ABOUT DOOM CREW IS YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT DOOM CREW.

Well im a corn clubber lol. But i will say that there is more than a weekend calendar lull every year in reg season to put a week in for early AND to help calm ducks in reg w a split because i believe if they find somewhere with food and less pressure they wont leave. Unless weather moves them out but thats unpredictable. Calendar ducks however migrate on photoperiod hence calendar ducks so thats something that happens everyyear.
