I’m thinking about getting a new Mathews. What shop do you guys recommend that wouldn’t be to far from Louisville. Did Kings close.

Bardstown mills supposedly has a pretty good archery shop. Not sure who all they are a dealer for though.

Hoyt for one. not sure they have other brands. Don't know anything about their "technician", which is the most important piece of any archery shop.

I’m going to go with the Hoyt Carbon rx4. Not happy about the price tag but I’ve only ever had hand me downs so this will be a 10 year bow for me. So I can justify it

If you’re still looking for a recommendation for a Mathews dealer I’d check out Bent Arrow Archery in New Haven. It’s a little bit of a drive from Louisville - it’s in New Haven (near Bardstown) but the owner Gene is one of the best. Gene setup my VXR 31.5.

    X2.

If you’re coming from Louisville, or wherever:

1: Buy a bow at Bent Arrow
    2: Eat lunch at Mammy’s
3: Load up on meat at Boone’s

    That’s a pretty good day.

Yes Gene and Bonnie are great people, Mathews dealer no Hoyt, but his ability to setup bows is the best! I’ve been with them since 1978 and the only shop I go to. It is well worth the drive! I would call before going over, I know they are still closed at this time with Covid-19.
