Shew I found a brand new one with the gray stock and stainless steel barrel with the big loop.But asking 2k for it which they are hard to fine but 2k is a little bit much I believe.

They are going for about $1350-1450 here abouts, if you find a gun shop that is getting them in, every month or so, get on a list. At the price you are quoting, I feel you would be throwing$600 away. But if you have to have it at any cost, go for it, its your money. But having patience could pay for a whole lot of ammo, a scope or reloading accessories. I have been reloading and shooting 45/70s for nearly 40 years and you can get some great performance out of cast bullets and handloads, if you cast your own, for cheap.

I’ve had a couple of guide guns. Great guns. Both were bought for under $500 new 15-20 years ago. Sold both for something better at the time. About 8 years ago I think Walmart had Marlin 45-70s on closeout for under $200. Seriously. My brother bought one and still has it. Wish I would have.
