Anybody have any experience with it as far as squirrel and deer hunting ? I went there once years ago, on a hot early fall day, found it pretty tough to get far from the parking lot do to a logging road grown up that was impassable, or straight up climbing. My questions are, was the logging road ever cleared, are there decent deer numbers, and does it get much use ?

That WMA in Marion County is fairly new, and it will take time to get it "Visitor Friendly". The river that runs through it (Rolling Fork) floods very frequently in the Spring, making improvements somewhat difficult. This area should be a fine place to hunt Deer or Squirrels, when it is improved for such use.

I used to hunt a property that backed up to it. Based on the volley of gunfire on the first Saturday in November, I'd recommend staying away that particular weekend. I also heard an awful lot of small engines buzzing around.
