So I have a group of guys I've been hunting with for 30+ years that come down to hunt the farm typically in Rifle season and Spring Turkey but they come down once or twice a year and we go fishing also. I had my garage built with a 14'X48'X8' attic area so that I could build a man cave/quarters to house the hunters. Keep the rif raf out of the house! At the same time we wanted it to look rustic and use a bunch of repurposed material if possible. So I built a living/hangout/tv/bar area, and a bedroom with a bath. I built a set of bunk beds (twin XL) and we put an antique full bed in there also. In the bath I made a sink with a bourbon barrel, planed some 100yr old barnwood for a bathroom counter maintaining some live edge look to it and did an epoxy pour on it. Built the shower lined it with metal. My wife took the wedges that came out of the stair stringers and make a pattern and had her heart set on that being the floor in the bathroom. I ripped the wedges into 4 pieces, and she laid out the pattern and I brad nailed them to keep em in place then we did an epoxy pour on it too. I think it turned out pretty cool. I then took some wormy chestnut and planed it, then did a burn on it and made the bar, then did an epoxy pour on it. Came out great. Posts came out of an ole barn, one was a gate post that goats were in, they wore an area on the post, so the wife wanted the other to match, did it with a draw knife.
