This is a tiny stainless steel wood burning stove that's made in Germany.

It's small enough to fit almost anywhere.

I'll let you all know how well it's works to boil water...

I don't think it will heat up my skillet to cook any fish...

It's gonna be nice to get out on the river and fish and hike around in the deep woods of MCNP for 2 weeks... Just me and my dog... Stay tuned, I should have about 10 more pages of pics to post when I return.:)

Looks like you're ready to go! I have to get one of those Carharrt tool rolls.

I am retired... playing on the river and in the woods is my full time job. I've got an old cast iron skillet, butter and seasoning salt, hope to find enough to eat everyday.

Photobucket is so slow today, it took me all day just to upload these pics. I didn't hike where the old growth tree are because my GPS kept losing the signal, I didn't want to hike around and get lost, been there done that before. I seen 26 Bald Eagles and 2 Golden Eagles, 2 nests where right on the river bank, I paddled under them. I got a new Hennessy hammock with a side zipper, it was a lot easier to get in and out of and I used it to sit in, just like a chair.

It took me 6.36 hours to paddle 22.42 miles from where I camped down river to my truck at Houchins ferry.

An Eagle was perched in a tree watching the 3 Heron nest in this tree, looking for an easy meal.

Here he is just waiting for an opportunity to grab a quick snack, or a meal to feed his Eaglets.

    There were Eagles everywhere.

I am going on another trip when the River goes back down from the storm the other day...
