Stud, shocked to see him just cut the rack off.
Uh....that's the skull cap. That's used to mount the deer (taxidermy).
Way to hang in a get it done that late on a huge buck no less!
Goes to show it’s not over till it’s over.
But how big would he of been with one more year? Lol you know he was gonna make it
Growing up in Magoffin, just down the road from where this beast was killed, I can tell you for sure that this isn't the only monster around there. I have seen some mountain bucks that would easily be put in the record books every year. I have also seen some that have been killed that not many people will ever know about.
Why? That's what you do when you shoulder mount them, lol.
This is so true. Especially in Martin County as I’ve said before.
What part (roughly)of magoffin was it in? Not looking for specifics it’s just that I use to hunt magoffin a lot around gunlock and killed some nice bucks over there.
He’s referring to the northern part of the county, around Improvement, Rockhouse, etc
Ok just curious I use to hunt around rt7 a lot. Gunlock up to brushy area. Some friends of mine own a bunch of property that way. Where the licking river starts out as a trickle
He’s a shooter! Congratulations to the hunter. That’s the kind of buck you hardly ever see. Used to be like that around here until the blue tongue hit. Maybe next year!
