I just got a farm in Lyon County near Eddyville and Kuatta. What are typically the deer numbers like and the quality of bucks in that area? Thanks in advance.

Thought those questions were asked before leasing property, not after.

You're correct, "he got a farm". Did he buy one? Inheritance? Came out of a box of cracker jacks?

We own land in Trigg We’ve taken some nice ones. We’ve also seen some real shooters. Won’t have any problem seeing deer.

If I "got a farm to hunt" I think I'd spend some time with boots on the ground. That might be a little more productive than a post on the innerwebs. Just me I guess !!

Damn fellas he just asked about the deer density in the county. Seems like a normal question for someone who is new to an area to me. OP wish I could help ya more but know nothing about it. I’ve hunted in The western part of the state and it was good years ago. Expect it still is.

You are 100% correct. boots on the ground is more productive....and will be done. but living several hours away i havent yet. I am a lucky dude...I "obtained" a 120 acre farm close to eddyville that I can hunt. You dont turn down a farm that looks like this when it is offered...i CAN hunt it...i may not depending whats on it...Like I said I'm Lucky in that I have several options in Western Ky, as well as other states. I have hunted western ky in different areas for years...just not in the eddyville area and was asking a general questions. hope this clears up any confusion with the know it all hunters that responded with useless comments. Thanks to the guys who respectfully answered.
