Ok got my traps on the way what kind of lure and cover scent would you recommend to get looking at the carmen's thinking an once will get me through?

Hard to go wrong with Caven's Violator 7 or Fox Hollow GH II for the lure. I have good luck with the Carmen's Pro-Mix Red Fox on my backing and scent post sets. It contains red fox gland along with urine.

If I get 16 oz will keep till next season what I don't use now ?

I keep my lure, urine and bait from year to year in an old frig out in the barn and it keeps fine, I don't know if you would even have to do that for it to keep o.k..
