Trying to stay positive about losing a place I hunted for 7 years, I knew that day would come and it hurts, be thankful for what ya got to hunt, I got a few other spots but that was the place, knew it inside and out, going to be hard for me to bury the hatchet but to many good memories there, just not the same I’m not into it this year as normal, going to work like hell to buy a place, sorry for the rant.

I feel your pain. Found out last weekend that a place that we hunted since the 70's has finally been sold. Rough piece of ground that for all intents and purposes is virtually landlocked. Several 140-150 class deer came out of that place tho I do have other options but this one kind of stings.

Back when I sold realestate (sold mostly farms and land) I helped make a lot of folks dreams come true and others well not so much..

So I kind of feel your pain..

I feel your pain. Went through the same thing a few years ago. After you learn a place like the back of your hand and pattern the deer on it, it is tough to start over on a new piece of land. Like starting over from scratch. Good luck to you this season.

Yep, know that feeling real well! Luckily, within seconds of losing a 600 acre piece I hunted for years, a buddy of mine told me he had control of the hunting on 600 acres and I was welcome to hunt it. Got really lucky, it’s even better than what I lost!

Yeah we just found out we lost a 50acre track that was always money for filling a couple buck tags and several does. It bordered a huge highly managed farm where $ wasn't an issue that also sold for 1.3 mil we was told. It sucks for sure man. Goodluck

I've also lost good hunting places over the years. Mostly due to property being sold or being developed. Solved the problem I bought my own Hunting Property.

I hate that. The spot i got now is the best i have ever had my entire life. When its gone and it will be soon if i dont have the money to buy some of it i guess i will retire. Hate too. But i cant deal with public land anymore. After being spoiled for so many years. Hopefully you find another spot. Everything happens for a reason even if we dont understand it. Good luck
