Loss of a Hunting Partner

    We’ve lost quite a few good ones over the years. That part never gets any easier. I’ve come to realize their isn’t a remedy for losing a good hunting dog. You never forget the good ones, and shame on us if we ever do. But, the best way to get the loss off your mind is to start focusing on finding the next prospect.

    It’s a damn shame, but the good ones never live long enough to suit me.

    I have five labs buried in the front yard... All were unique, not all were hunters but they were all special! One is missing.... The one I lost on a hunt... I don't recommend that for anyone...

    With that said, They all had great lives with me and they all made my life that much more full of laughter, love and passion.

    Losing one on a hunt must have been incredibly rough. So sorry that happened.
