Ive been using lung busters from wal mart, made by carbon express. 14.95 for a pack of 3 and they will leave a hole like any you will pay $70 for. Plust they fly just as good as my field tips.

My favorite fixed blade heads are Grizz Tricks. My favorite mechanicals are Spitfires for deer and Vortex Pro Extreme for turkeys.

If your set on fixed blades, I can offer no help. But on the other hand, if you in the market for mechanical broadheads, I have to give a recommendation to GrimReaper. I've shot three deer with these heads and to say they are devasting is an understatment. Although one of the animals had to be shot twice, it wasn't the broadheads fault, but rather me pulling a bad shot. I'm a firm believer in their ability to down animals and will continue to use them. A friend of mine downed a bull elk with a Reaper last year and it got the job done just the same.

Another vote for the Reapers. They killed a deer for me after the arrow hit a briar and turned it into an awefull shot. The deer went about 100yds.

dad put down a muley doe with a g5 t3 yesterday. He was shooting at a buck and the doe stood up in front of him at the shot. Hit her in the shoulder got bout 6 inches of penetration on a 150+ pound doe she went about 100 yards and piled up. I believe ill be sticking with the t3's for a while.

I use a Muzzy 100 grain 3 blade. Short recovery on black bear, caribou and moose. What were you displeased about?

I've been using Shuttle T's for several years. Great broad heads and they really hold up to the beatin' they take.
Fly as good or better than mechanical broad heads.

I killed my buck this year with a rage 2 blade, but when it comes down to it i just dont have the confidence in them like i do with a muzzy. That being said i'll be going back to the MX-3's from now on.
