If anyone sees a decent 4wd truck for sale at a decent price please let me know. The f450 doesn't like mud or snow too heavy and rough for the hills.

Find you a good older model Toyota. I have a 2001 that has 220,000 miles on it and there’s not many mountain roads it hasn’t been on in Pike & Martin co.

Ive been looking but either the frame is gone or they are way overpriced. I know the used truck market is crazy but geeeeez.

I had a pos Toyota taco. It had no paint, you could throw a cat through the bed. The frame had been welded. I was honest about the issues, didn’t really want to sell it. 289k miles put it up for $4k it sold in one day and I got calls for months about it.
I prefer SUVs for hunting rigs anymore. My Nissan Pathfinder was best off road vehicle I ever owned. The market is terrible on 4wd trucks right now.

Unless you can find a good deal from a private seller, I'd hold off on buying a truck right now. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to wish they waited it out before they massively overpaid for a truck in the current market.

I agree a bunch of ppl will be upside down and I hope they have GAP insurance if financed. Im in no hurry but if the right deal popped up I would jump.

Im just a truck guy, the wifey wanted to go shopping today we took the 450 on the trip cause she has a SUV and I prefer to drive the truck. Hers drives and rides 100x better than mine, but I just prefer driving a truck.

I drive a 2500hd 4x4 everyday. I love it too but it was inconvenient on mountain roads elk hunting and kinda cold to camp in. Haha. Always have a truck, just nice to not always have to be in one.

Last truck was a 2500 and I had it everywhere they are just heavy trucks with a bad ride, but the 450 makes the 2500 feel like a Caddy.

I've been looking to trade my wife's vehicle and it is a very bad time to be looking for used vehicles. They are at a premium and pretty much everyone knows it.
Hopefully that will change this summer when the chips are restocked and the new car lots get replenished.

Check the frame on those, they are almost as bad as Toyotas for rusting. I have a 01

All of the older Toyotas have the frame rotted in two unless they were treated with rust preventative or came from out in the desert. I found a 95 Isuzu Trooper V6 5spd from Arizona and flew out to Salt Lake City to meet the owner and make the purchase. Wife and I took it to MOAB for some 4x4 fun before driving it cross country home. Those were designed and built by GM and are very capable rock crawlers. I use it as a beater, hunting truck and it drives better than my wife's Mercedes SUV. They can be had cheap <$3-4k and are well made. The V6 has enough power but the 4 cyl versions are underpowered.
