Had a basket 8 follow a doe and bed about 40 yards from me around 4pm. Stayed there until I had to leave at dark. Saw another one following a doe but no chasing. Looks like they may be locked down in my area at least. Wonder when they'll be out looking again?

I think that's been the case here for about a week. So many does in my area, the bigger bucks don't have to cruise much to hook up. I saw nothing but does all weekend.

    Same for me,
except I watched a doe hotlap a button buck around the field a few times, she was determined to get him away from her.

They were chasing hard all last week and yesterday in my end of mason county. This morning was dead. I assume hunting pressure and wind kept them out of sight.

Agree with Nick moon having effect. Heard a bunch chasing and grunting yesterday morning befor daylight. Once the sun came up. Very slow 2 does and a dink. They are moving hard at night.

They are definitely locked down in Eastern Kentucky, haven’t seen a deer in two days during daylight, handful of night pics

That might very well be the case. I also have too many Doe on my property, so I made the decision to take a couple of Doe this season. I've taken one Buck every year for the past 7 years.

Nothing so far, thought I'd have a doe loaded up by 8 this morning. Camera had does here all day yesterday. Don't know why they don't follow the game plan.

It’s been a strange couple of days for us. Between my son and I we saw 11 deer this weekend all bucks. Some were cruising but others are still hitting the feeders and don’t seem to be too worked up about anything. Strange part is we never saw a doe all weekend. Still getting nighttime pictures of them.
We’ll see what this weather change does to them. We’re both out for an all day sit.

Don’t feel bad. I can’t get a doe to stay still, in range, for the last 6 weeks.
